Entries for the Essex XC Championships which will take place on Saturday 4th January
2025 at Gloucester Park, Basildon are now open.

Please note that entries close at 23:59 on Sunday 22nd December and due to the
Christmas break we will absolutely not be able to accommodate late entries, so please
ensure your entries are made in good time.
The plan is for a similar format to last year with a DJ, marquee and haybale jumps on
the course. The course will again be multi lap and reasonably challenging and for that
reason we have introduced a cut off time for the senior men's and women's races, to
avoid impacting on the subsequent races.
Senior men should be able to complete the12km course in 75 mins. Senior women should be able to complete the 8km course in 65 mins. Please ensure your athletes are aware of this (this is also mentioned on the ATW entry page).
Please note that for the first time we will also be introducing an U11 race at the event
which will be non-championship (Essex medals will not be awarded and there will be no
team event for this age group).
Details regarding parking and course maps will be provided at a later date.

Race 1 @ 9:40am – U13G (3.1km) (for girls aged 11 or 12 on 31st Aug 2024)
Race 2 @ 10:00am – U13B (3.1km) (for boys aged 11 or 12 on 31st Aug 2024)
Race 3 @ 10:20am – U15G (4.3km) (for girls aged 13 or 14 on 31st Aug 2024)
Race 4 @ 10:40am – U15B (4.3km) (for boys aged 13 or 14 on 31st Aug 2024)
Race 5 @ 11:00 am – U11 G and B (1.5km) (for girls and boys aged 9 or 10 on 31st Aug
2024)
Race 6 @ 11:15am – Senior Men (12km) (for men aged 20 or older on 31st Aug 2024)
Race 7 @ 12:25pm – Senior Women & U20M (8km) (for women aged 20 or older and
men aged 17, 18 or 19 on 31st Aug 2024)
Race 8 @ 1:35pm – U17M & U20W (6.1km) (for men aged 15 or 16 and women aged
17, 18 or 19 on 31st Aug 2024)
Race 9 @ 2:05pm – U17W (5.2km) (for women aged 15 or 16 on 31st Aug 2024)
