Essex compete in various Intercounty Events in the Southern and Eastern Regions both on road and cross country.

In order to qualify to compete for Essex:

  • you must be born in Essex, or lived in Essex for at least 9 months.
  • you must be attached to an EA registered club (your club does not have to be in or affiliated to Essex)
  • you must not have competed for another county or in another county championships event in the previous competition year (1st September to 31st August)

ROAD – Eastern AA 10K Inter-County Championships – Sunday 6th October 2024 (Cambridge Town and Gown 10k)

The Essex Road Running Manager will select the team based on seasonal form and availability from those that express an interest by filling in the form HERE

We will accept application from Men who have run under 33 minutes and women who have run under 39 minutes.

CROSS COUNTRY – Inter-Counties Cross Country Championships (TBA)

The first 6 Essex qualified finishers (male and female) at the County Cross Country Championships each year, will be automatically offered selection to run for Essex at the Intercounty event.  The Essex AA team manager will selet any discretionary replacements if required.
